Installation on the occasion of the Year of Czesław Miłosz
The installation, in an unusual way, encouraged people to go for literature by Czesław Miłosz.
I “planted” Miłosz's literary works on five trees near the Silesian Library in Katowice. Each tree was named after one poem by the writer. Together with a group of volunteers, I attached fragments of the jubilee's poems to the tree branches. People passing by the installation could either become inspired by them or save the broken fragments as bookmarks. The installation triggered a lot of positive comments on the Internet and among the local community. The inspiration for creating the project was the work by Yoko Ono "Tree of Wishes".
